Nursing lying down in bed

This position began to work for this mother once her twins were somewhere around 8 months old. Initially she had to lie slightly on one side to nurse the baby you see pictured on the left while cradling the other baby in the crook of her right arm (he'd lie more over/across her). As they got older and larger, it began possible to easily nurse them both while lying flat on her back, with each baby cradled in the crook of her arms.
Help!
I keep trying to recreate this position at home (since it would be so much easier if I could nurse both lying down), but it's hard. Maybe I'm lying too far on my side, which is why the baby on the other side does a crazy balancing act. I'll have to keep working on that one, because I've been envying this position ever since I first saw it.
