Co-Sleeping with Twins

Co-Sleeping with Twins

This was the setup this mother used for her twin's first 9 or 10 months of life. She'd start the night by swaddling then nursing each one to sleep (starting with the baby shown on the left who would fall asleep much easier). Then during the night she'd switch sides with her husband as needed in order to nurse whichever baby woke up at the time (he's not pictured here as he was taking the picture). When they outgrew the need and desire to be swaddled, she found that sleeping between them worked best. As you can see, the covers are tucked in so that the top of them will not cover the babies faces and there are no pillows near their heads, for safety.
